HITman sniper 2 - gif gallery

I only spent a few months working on Hitman Sniper 2 before moving on the next project. During that time, I worked to improve how interactable objects would display key information to the player prior to shooting it. We tried many different type of feedback such as:

  • Size & shape of the AOE effect.

  • The type of effect such as sound, push, flame, explosive.

  • Partial outline; objects had multiple interactable parts so eahc part would get their own outlines.

  • Highlight on affected NPCs.

  • Contextual: exposed wire would only kill if a water puddle was caused beforehand.

  • Timer: if applicable.

It was a big improvement from Hitman Sniper 1 which didn't preview effects at all, players had to resort to trial and error.
